Entrepreneur of the Year

The Gutting family of entrepreneurs, co-owners of Saalemühle Alsleben GmbH, has been awarded the title of “Entrepreneur of the Year 2009” at the Bernburg District CDU Ball for Medium-Sized Businesses.

Paying tribute to the company, deputy district administrator Ulrich Reder attributed awarding of the title to successful expansion of the milling operation in Alsleben, which the family took over in 1992. In particular, he highlighted the company`s readiness to invest, and high level of entrepreneurial achievement to expand this former “people`s own concern” into one of Germany`s most modern mills within just a few years – at the same time securing 92 jobs. On a community level, the company`s commitment to the city of Alsleben and its local associations was also recognised.
